It’s impossible to build a new golf course on raw duneland in the European Union, but St. Patrick’s is the next best thing – a complete remodeling of an existing links.
We used pieces of old fairways for our 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, and 16th holes, but otherwise St. Patrick’s is a brand new routing, using the best land of the two original courses for a single great one.
As a part owner of the course, alongside the Casey family who operate Rosapenna GC next door, I’m especially pleased to see the new course gaining notoriety so quickly.
