This is one of my favorite books on golf design. Sixty architects from around the world were asked to choose a favorite hole [not of their own design] and explain why they liked it. You get to see not only what different reasons stand behind the choices, but how the architects THINK — submissions include everything from CAD plans to freehand notes to meticulous sketches, to my own little essay about the 2nd hole on The Old Course at St. Andrews. I highly recommend it if you can find a copy.
