Five miles down the beach from Tara Iti, this 36-hole project is both a membership club and a resort, with Bill Coore’s South Course and our new North Course alternating for members-only play.
The North Course starts and ends by the ocean [and ducks down there again at the par-4 8th], but it is the quality of the interior property that makes it shine. The 4th, 6th, 7th and 9th greens sit in a lovely bowl of dunes, while the par-4 13th would fit right in at Pine Valley. But the Maori pa by the 6th tee makes this an unmistakably New Zealand golf experience.
